COLOGNE! Are you ready for a special treat? After a long year of touring around Europe, recording a new album, and even heading to the states for SXSW, the lovely ladies of the Berlin garage punk band, Gurr, are playing Gebäude 9 tomorrow! Back in February, I interviewed Andreya and Laura before their show at a small DIY space in Ehrenfeld. So I am looking forward to seeing how they’ve grown since the last time I saw them play.

I’m also extremely excited for tomorrow because they have even brought along the talented South London punk band, shame, to open up the show. After discovering their adrenaline rushing tunes this year, shame has easily become one of my new favorite punk bands. What caught my attention about these guys is Charlie Steen’s unique voice, their reputation to have an incredibly crazy live performance, and their politically-engaged opinions that they express in their sound. Be sure to get down to the venue early for their set — it’s one you won’t want to miss.

Gurr and Shame are playing loads of shows together in Germany, so be sure not to miss these talented bands if they come to a city near you!
